The Abundance of the North

The quality embraced by the North is Knowledge and Wisdom. This is the sense of understanding that one gains through living - through personal experience. The Medicine Wheel journey begins in the direction of the East. It is our beginning, the direction of Enlightenment and Knowledge of Self. The direction of the South is the Path of the Inner Child - to access that part of ourselves that uses the faith, trust and innocence and allows us to heal. The direction of the West deepens this knowing through dreams and visions of the future and enables change and transformation in readiness for what we will produce in our life. The direction of the North is where we apply the wisdom and understanding that we have gained to our lives in a meaningful manner and become our true selves.
